Family Style Service  

In Family Style Service all food is arranged on platters large enough to accommodate the entire table. Gusts are then encouraged to help themselves. This type of service promotes conversation and interaction. Not all food can be served in this fashion, food that will not hold its temperature should not be served in this style, for example steak. This style is perfect for a Thanksgiving feast or an event calling for more interaction.
